Our history

Dzjie was founded in 2024 by Stephan and Niels Glerum, driven by a shared passion: continuously improving the world of sport. The name Dzjie comes from the phonetic pronunciation of the English letter G, standing for growth. As a family business with over 40 years of combined experience in sport, we know better than anyone how vital strong business connections are.

Our mission
We aim to inspire people to become more resilient. Sport plays a crucial role in this, which is why we support sports clubs that are facing increasing pressure. By building smart, diverse, and future-proof business networks, we create an environment where growth and progress are possible for everyone. With our fresh perspective and expertise, we bring a new vision to the future of sports networks.

Sport Meets Business

Teun de Nooijer has been our ambassador since 2025. Together, we’re taking the Sport Meets Business tour to hockey clubs across the Netherlands. This tour will give you a better understanding of how to make sponsorship and elite sport more future-proof.

Stephan has been an entrepreneur and creator of new concepts for over 35 years. His background is in marketing, sports, and psychology. When he plays sports himself, he plays hockey, golf, and runs.
